The beat describes it all.

DCFC continues to be my drug of choice. A movie script ending, Title and Registration, This is the face that launched one thousand s*&#s - they are what is keeping me together at the moment. Yann Tiersen and Rufus are also contributing.
I am in a rut. I had many fun experiences this week/weekend. But I wouldn't say I had a fun week/weekend. I need a new attitude, badly.

Highlights:
  • Dyeing my hair, gracias a JR. JR is so fun. I haven't really had a decent real conversation with him lately. I need one.
  • Random adventure with KD. She is funny. CJ is pretty interesting too.
  • Playing with ALS - she is the cutest 4 year old ever.
  • Watching ANTM with K.
  • Random adventure with LP. Spanish thrift stores, hole-in-the-wall coffee joints, oversized sunglasses, parks, climbing trees, getting lost on Main Street (I'm not sure how we managed that one...) excessively awkward moments involving walking past a couple going at it in their car on the way back to LP's car, and laughing until I cried = uncontested highlight of my week.
  • Many cards (and 2 packages!) from many people I love and miss.
  • Buying myself a present just simply because (it gets here on Friday!!!)
Lows:
  • No spices in too long. They went to California for the weekend, and I have no classes with them. I need to see them more.
  • No KH. She was in Wisconsin. There went my sanity.
  • Econ test. Enough said.
  • Excessive amounts of homework.
  • Not doing as well as I wanted on the humanities test.
  • Feeling disconnected with life.
  • 6:45 mile, and broken headphones.
  • Not enough sleep.
  • Being behind in everything.
No need to continue.

Time to institute Operation: Make James Happy and Caught Up With Life. I guess that comes out to...OMJHACUWL. Ohmjahackuel? That does work. Maybe just Make James Happy - that could be "ohmj" - that kinda works. Regardless, I need to run, and start smiling. I think I'll take the Amelie route.

New goal: make someone happy every single day. Go out of my way to do so. Nothing huge needed, just something small, something nice. A card. A phone call. An anonymous piece of candy on someones desk. To be honest, making others happy makes me really happy. Plus, it just makes the whole world happier. Is there anything to really lose? (I'm thinking I'll send postcards or letters...I love getting them but never send them)

New goal #2: Do something happy for ME every day. This is important. Very much so. Whether it means going to yoga, going running, taking a nap, eating chocolate, taking a picture, whatever...I need at least one happy moment per day to look forward to.

Picture: Ophelia, also from my humanities journal thing for Hamlet. Joyous.
